EquiCyan®

Equine Mobility Support

EquiCyan® is formulated to provide comprehensive mobility support for horses by combining phycocyanin at a concentration of 6,000 mg/L with turmeric, two ingredients valued for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This liquid formula helps support mobility and comfort in horses undergoing regular physical activity.

Benefits

Phycocyanin (6,000 mg/L): A protein pigment extracted from spirulina, known for its powerful antioxidant properties. It helps protect muscles from damage caused by oxidative stress and supports recovery after exercise.

Turmeric: A natural ingredient widely valued for its curcuminoids, which help support a healthy inflammatory response and joint health. It is particularly beneficial for active horses, helping to maintain mobility, agility and endurance.

Ingredients

Box of 20 × 10 mL single-dose vials

Phycocyanin: Extracted in France from fresh Spirulina platensis and concentrated to 6,000 mg/L.

Vegetable glycerin

Turmeric

Purified water

Dosage

Daily: Give one single-dose vial with the horse’s first feed of the day.

Why use liquid phycocyanin for horses at 6,000 mg/L following this protocol?

Recommended protocol

Daily use: One 10 mL single dose of liquid phycocyanin (6,000 mg/L), given daily with the horse’s first feed.

On training or competition days: One additional 10 mL single dose one hour before exercise, in addition to the usual daily dose.

Rationale for the daily use of liquid phycocyanin

Preserved antioxidant properties

In its liquid form, phycocyanin retains its antioxidant properties thanks to the preservation of its native structure. These properties play an important role in:

  1. Neutralising free radicals.
  2. Supporting the body’s response to inflammation.
  3. Supporting cellular regeneration, particularly in horses undergoing regular or intense physical exertion.

By contrast, phycocyanin in dry form may lose some of its antioxidant capacity during freeze-drying or dehydration processes, which can affect its sensitive molecular structure.

Daily metabolic support

Regular intake of liquid phycocyanin helps support the horse’s overall condition by:

  1. Supporting normal immune system function.
  2. Supporting muscle recovery after exercise.
  3. Supporting cellular energy production and normal mitochondrial function.

Enhanced absorption

In liquid form, phycocyanin is rapidly absorbed by the body, helping to ensure optimal bioavailability. This makes it particularly suitable for active horses requiring regular support for mobility, recovery and overall physical condition.
